About the project

The increased distance makes it impossible to have fun together in the Culture Zone. we will watch live concerts and club events as well as unique “remote” concerts, recorded by exceptional artists from around the world. Online broadcasts will include concerts and club events in venues such as NOSPR , Walcownia , Jazz Club Hipnoza , Muzeum Śląskie, Sztauwajery – places important for the history of Silesia and the festival. There will also be a message from places very distant from Katowice, exclusively for Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice. Performances by artists from outside the EU will be broadcast from their homes. In addition to intriguing performances, TNMK.online also offers exclusive interviews with artists.

The Museum of Zinc Metallurgy WALCOWNIA in Szopienice is one of the monuments of the powerful metallurgical industry that provided support for many generations of Katowice residents. Now the power of music will resound there. As large as a medieval cathedral, the hall is well over a hundred years old and is perfect for exploring the fresh sounds of club and experimental electronics.

The seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra ( NOSPR ) boasts one of the best acoustic conditions in Europe. The ultramodern auditorium of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra is the result of the work of Japanese engineers . Since its opening in autumn 2014, the great concert hall regularly hosts the opening and closing concerts of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice .

Jazz Club Hypnosis is a special place. During the 20 years of existence, we were able to hear the first concerts of later great stars in Poland. They played there, among others The Cinematic Orchestra, Bonobo, Amon Tobin, Jaga Jazzist, The Whitest Boy Alive, Jimi Tenor, Jamie Lidell, M83, St. Vincent, Calexico, Animal Collective, Nils Petter Molvaer, Erik Truffaz, Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnalds and many others. From the very beginning, the club has been closely associated with Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.

Sztauwajery started in 2015 and it soon became one of the most interesting outdoor places in Katowice. The combination of a charming corner of the Three Ponds Valley with modern forms of relaxation turned out to be a bull’s eye and won loyal fans.
